RESEARCH STATEMENT

My research examines the question: how do new technologies support collaborative learning in children and families? I answer this question by: (1) building innovative technologies for new collaborations; (2) examining how current technological trends influence family collaborations around learning; and (3) developing new co-design methods for family collaboration and learning.

I use theories and design methods from human-computer interaction, learning sciences, and library and information sciences to study these family interactions.
